Patricia has been involved in managing thousands of successful claims against some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. She has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families who lost a loved one as a result of serious injuries caused by dangerous pharmaceutical drugs on the market. Patricia also represents people injured or killed by defective medical products and devices.

Patricia’s zeal for the law comes naturally – she is a second-generation lawyer. She grew up watching her father and older brother practicing law, and her first job when she was still in college was as a law firm librarian. She worked in just about every department in a law firm as she finished college – receptionist, file clerk, legal secretary, accountant, office manager, law clerk and legal assistant. She then worked as a law clerk while attending law school. As a lawyer, she enjoys the close contact you have with clients as you work on their cases, especially the happiness and relief clients feel when they get justice.

Patricia has worked in numerous major law firms, but admits she enjoys working with her family on a daily basis at AkinMears.

Patricia is also a third-generation Aggie (Whoop!) and received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University. She earned her law degree at South Texas College of Law and has been licensed to practice since 2005.

Patricia is a mother to two young children that keep her busy. When Patricia has free time, she volunteers at her children’s school. Patricia also enjoys taking Lagree pilates classes and trying new exercise classes.
